    A Love Song: My 400 Writing Prompts


    *If you wrote a song about your love life, what would the title be? Write the first verse. 4/400*If I were to write about my love life, it would be titled: Ain’t No Time … Yet.

    The reason for my chosen title is that I’m the type of guy who focuses on my work and will not stop until I get to where I want to go. I am very passionate about the work I do, and you could say I love doing it too. I do take breaks, and I know when to stop, but ultimately, what I do drives me, and I don’t want to stop!

    I don’t really consider that I’m giving up on anything since I’m doing exactly what I want. I mean, I turn 21 on May 25, I AM STILL YOUNG. I have a good 70 – 80 years left, and I’m feeling better than ever!

    The first verse would be:

    The love of the chase 

    keeps me going …

    going for the race

    Always moving, always.

     

    Young people passing by,

    wondering, waiting, thinking

    of the one who will complete them.

    You may wait, but …

    Ain’t no time for that yet.

    The song would be set in the ’70s or ’80s and would have a funk-pop sound to it. I think it would be cool pretty cool. I like that type of music … when it’s good.

    So, there it is. My love life. Ain’t No Time … Yet.

    While a PC may be the way to go if you want the highest quality, 4K, VR capable, might make you toast, gaming setup in the world, however, with the costs of parts going down (as shown on PCPartPicker), the industry is getting ready to drop more and more high-end gaming laptops. It isn’t hard to see that the growing market wants more wirelessness and portability with their devices, and as fewer people buy dedicated PCs, laptops and tablets are on the rise shown by Statista’s data.

    The Journey 

    Highlander Student Media is the organization that houses the seven Radford University’s student-run organizations.

    When developing this website, it is the place for everything student media at Radford. Is it the hub, so it’s meant to be interesting, engaging, and easy to use. Not a lot is designed to go on here as it directs to the other seven organizations. Simple, that’s the name of the game. Features include: about, contact info, video header, and an organization page.

    The Journey 

    The Beehive is Radford University’s yearly student-run yearbook magazine.

    When developing this website with their chosen platform, Wix, I had to make this site pop and look like an “online yearbook” to attract the attention of users. That means big pictures and simple text. Having an easy to use website is good, but one that looks great is even better. Features include: staff bios, contacts page, blog, and photo gallery.

    The Journey 

    The Tartan is Radford University’s weekly student-run newspaper.

    In getting the position as editor-in-chief my freshman year (2017) at Radford University, one of my goals was to re-build the Tartan’s website from the ground up, and so I did. This is one of the biggest and most time-consuming project I’ve ever worked on because, for a news site, the user’s experience is everything. Features include: delivery locations, review boxes, photo galleries, e-print newspaper, apply for a job, training area, and much more.
