PERSONAL ARCHIVE · GEAR & WORKFLOW · UPDATED OCTOBER 2026
The tools behind the work.
Cameras and computers change. The projects and what I learn from them are the interesting part.
I first put together a gear page in April 2020. Much of that equipment is no longer part of my regular setup, so I’ve separated the tools I’ve discussed using recently from the older kit that helped me get started. This is a personal record, not an equipment review or purchasing guide.
Equipment in my recent workflow
Selected examples documented through my 2026 photo projects; not a full inventory of everything I own.
Photography
- Sony a7R V — primary camera used for recent photography work.
- 24–70 mm lens — flexible coverage for portraits, interiors and details.
- Godox flash — supplemental lighting when a project calls for it.
- Tripod — careful framing and multi-exposure work, including interior HDR photography.
Digital tools & personal tech
- Adobe Lightroom — photo selection, adjustment and HDR merging.
- WordPress and digital publishing tools — for building and maintaining the sites and projects you see here.
- iPhone 6s — an older phone I still use.

FROM THE ARCHIVE · APRIL 2020
Equipment I used in earlier years
My original 2020 gear list included the following. I’m retaining the names as a snapshot of the equipment that accompanied my earlier writing, photography, gaming and student journalism work. These items should not be read as my current working kit or a list of recommended purchases.
Cameras & accessories
- Nikon D3200 DSLR
- Nikon 18–55 mm and 55–200 mm lenses
- Nikon camera bag
- Sony Cyber-shot compact camera
- Various basic aluminum tripods
Computing & audio
- Dell Latitude E6430 laptop
- JVC foldable headphones with microphone
- Turtle Beach USB Stream Mic
The iPhone 6s also appeared in the 2020 list, but remains in use today. The historical lists above describe what was documented then, not current ownership status.
What matters more than a gear list is what I make with it. Explore the wider DylanLepore.com archive for projects from different stages of my creative work.
